Nails 2013 ◔‿◔

I have been doing nail art since before my teens. Plain nails would always bore me.

I have tried everything from bright nails, nail tools, stamping, marbling and even nail air brushing.

So let us see for 2013 what we should be trying.

Firstly looking art the @Joy Cioci show beaded nails are still going strong.

Personally I love the look but they dont stay on for long. If you want to try the 'caviar' or 'micro-beaded' look apply nail glue for these babies to stay put.

- Metallics

Always have & always love these. Just slap one of these lil sparkly adornment (or two) with nail glue and it will get you the effect.
*Try them on red nail paint

You can even go for the metallic nail paint as Lancome did for Monika Chiang 2013 show

or simply add metallic strips

-Pale nail

White shoes are in and so is milky nail polish.

This season try toning down also...We saw these in the Karen Walker show, Marc Jacobs, pure whites at Rag & Bone, and plenty of un-done French mani’s at Chanel and also at Oscar de la Renta.

Also mix of Half Matte - half shiny Angel Sanchez

-Dual tone

Its Bold without being too over the top, the dual polish effect got plenty of play at the shows. A new twist on the French manicure.

I personally recommend
Dipping your tips in glitter. Its not over the top, very much going out look and an even easier DIY.

Always remember the top coat so the extra doesn't snag everywhere.

The epitome of grace Miss Dita von teese manicure, the classic half moon manicure.

The half moon manicure was a symbol of glamour in the 1930's and 1940's, but the main reason women left a half moon bare was ultimately practical: when they had their nails done in those days the varnish took a long time to apply and dry, so women tried to keep their manicures going for as long as possible, and leaving the half moons meant that regrowth didn't appear so obvious as the weeks went by.
